Chris Hodda
Co-Founder & CEO
Chris brings proven experience in improving strategy, leadership, sales, and performance, with 35 years in financial services, and over a decade of senior leadership roles with companies such as NAB, MLC, AMP and CBA. As a Harvard Business School Alumnus, this exposed Chris to leadership and innovation with some of the world’s leading Executives, former Presidential Advisers and global thought leaders. Prior to co-founding Aeternis, he spent over 12 years as a high-performance coach and consulted to organisations such as Macquarie (Australia and Canada), Citibank, St. George Bank, NAB Business Bank, Suncorp Life, RSM International (Accountants), CCIQ, Wilsons Advisory and Morgans Stockbroking. Chris holds further qualifications in Financial Planning and has completed the Executive FastTrac and Business Coach FastTrac programs through Acumen International.
Oliver Goldsmith
Co-Founder & CTO
Oliver is an accomplished entrepreneur and seasoned technologist with a track record of success. Oliver’s career began as a systems engineer at Apple Centre Melbourne, where he gained valuable experience in the technology industry.
He went on to hold key C-level positions at CS First Boston, Deacons Lawyers, and Oxford University Press, where he demonstrated his expertise in business technology feasibility and viability, advanced commercial IT, ecommerce, and platform design and development, including AI integration. Throughout his career, Oliver has contributed to the development of IT and business infrastructure models for Australian government departments and leading commercial media organizations, where he held executive and leadership roles.
Oliver’s extensive experience and knowledge make him a highly sought-after advisor and consultatnt in the technology industry.
Michael Trencher
Head of Capital Markets
Michael has worked in the finance industry for over 35 years, with numerous major and smaller banks specialising in the strategic distribution of products and services. Michael has held executive national and division head roles managing and leading large teams across Australia ensuring a balance of business growth and strategic leadership. Four years ago, Michael started his consulting firm, Impact Consulting, which specialises in strategic and targeted business consulting, as well as complex and targeted funding solutions internationally. Michael brings to Aeternis a unique set of skills combining a strategic business and a structured collaborative approach to any client situation he deals with.
Jeff Finney
Head of Property
Jeff brings a wealth of over 40-years’ experience, in real estate development of high rise condotels, residential town houses, land subdivision, marketing, commercial leasing, aged care facilities, and childcare projects in Asia and Australia. Was formerly a Director/Partner of Knight Frank group in Melbourne and Hong Kong over 13 years, JIMA in Japan for 5 years and with L&D in China.
Since returning to Australia after 25 years in Asia he has worked in the Aged Care sector for 10-years with ASX listed Japara Healthcare Ltd as Head of Acquisitions and as a Senior Development Manager delivering anew aged care facilities across Australia for the group. In addition, he has co-developed residential and childcare projects under his company, FICON Pacific, acquisition design scope, town planning, construction, and marketing on behalf of stakeholders. Jeff is a graduate of Valuations at RMIT and holds a full real estate licence (REIV) and was a member of Rotary Bangkok and Melbourne for many years.
Dalton Grant Jnr

Dalton’s professional journey has been defined by a multifaceted career spanning finance, property sales, property development, and most notably, the dynamic realms of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and energy markets.
Dalton possesses an innovative mindset and a relentless pursuit of efficiency through cutting-edge technologies. His fascination with emerging technologies led him seamlessly into the world of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, where he has been an active investor and a visionary entrepreneur for many years. As the founder of York Street Capital, Dalton has played a pivotal role in deploying venture capital to numerous successful crypto projects. More recently, Dalton expanded his horizons by obtaining an AFSL for York Street Ventures, enabling him to significantly amplify his blockchain and crypto operations. Alongside his ventures in the digital sphere, Dalton’s collaborations with international partners introduced him to the complexities of the oil and energy markets. Over the past three years, he has been instrumental in securing supplies across various oil derivatives in regions spanning the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Notably, his strategic consultancy and procurement role with Petro China, a subsidiary of CNPC. Dalton’s diverse skill set and extensive experience make him an invaluable asset to the Aeternis team, where heplays a central role in facilitating energy-related transactions for clients and partners alike.
Taofiq (Tim) Tanim
Head of South Asia (Bangladesh)
With nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Tim has honed his expertise in senior roles at both HSBC and Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Tim is dedicated to offering high-quality consultation services and funding solutions to a diverse range of industries, including infrastructure, healthcare, resorts, defence, aviation, agriculture, and commodities. He has received extensive education in the field, earning a Master of Business, Bachelor of COmmerce (Economics and Finance), and Diploma of Financial Planning from Finsia Australia. Tim’s unparalleled knowledge and skills and his networks within business and government make him a valuable asset to Aeternis. Tim is a qualified and licenced Financial Adviser in Australia since 2007.
Wade Hodda
With over 20 years of experience in luxury and upscale hotels, casinos, resorts and property developments, Wade has established himself as a commercial leader in the industry. Previously holding senior leadership roles within renowned groups such as Banyan Tree Resorts and Hotels, Accor Hotels, and Delaware North Companies, Wade’s expertise in Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Revenue Management has been fundamental to the development or new projects throughout South East Asia. His accomplished career spans over multiple countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, and the Maldives. Wade’s professional experience includes leading the implementation of industry-best practices in developing new projects while also contributing to the growth of existing ones. His successful track record bears testament to his industry leadership and invaluable contributions to the tourism sector. Wade has built an impressive and extensive network throughout South East Asia over the last 15 years.
